3 Steps to Getting Started Working Your Online Business

Work at Home Online Business – 3 Steps to Starting Your Home Based Business Online By Bryan K

Starting a work at home online business is a perfect way to create multiple streams of income to supplement your current earnings, or to build up into a full time job.

Many people tend to get a little lost along the way when searching for information on starting a home based business, and understandable so. With so many websites out there that are touting ways to make you money online, it can become quite confusing as to how to get started.

I started working online part time in 2007, and had a heck of a time weeding through all the hype and figuring out the best approach. After about a year of frustration and trying just about every offer I found, I was absolutely ready to give up my dreams of starting a work from home online business.

I actually stepped away completely from working online for about a month to clear my mind, and only after I took a surprise pay cut at my day job did I finally get back online and start my quest over.

It was with a fresh mind, and a little lucky research, did I finally develop my own way of doing things. Here are the 3 steps I discovered to finally get things to work for me.

3 Steps to Getting Started Working Online

Step 1: Finding Affiliate Programs - Using affiliate programs is the fastest and most direct way to start earning legitimate money online.

There are many companies, including major online retailers, that have online affiliate programs that offer to pay you a commission for sending visitors to their site. You can find listings and sign up for these programs by just searching in a search engine for “affiliate programs.”

Important note: You should never pay to sign up for an affiliate program. All legit programs are free to join.

Step 2: Finding Keywords for Products – Once you have your affiliate programs signed up for, you will want to research a little and find the “keywords” that people type into the search engines to find products or services.

There are many free tools online that will help you with this task. Once you know what people are typing into the search engines, you are now ready to move to step 3.

Step 3: Create Useful Content – In order to get the commissions these programs offer, you will need to send visitors to the vendors website by having them click on your special affiliate links.

There are many ways to do this, and the easiest way is by writing content and getting it published online with your links in it. There are thousands of places you can submit a simple review article for publication online for free.

The most popular places are article directories, and you can easily find these by searching on a search engine for “article directories.”

So there you have it. Three simple steps to starting your own work at home online business.

You get your content and links seen by internet users by creating articles with your links in them and submitting them to various online sources.

Understanding affiliate marketing really unlocks many doors for you to succeed in making money owning your own online business. Simply writing one article online can bring you commissions for years to come.

If you still have questions and are ready and willing to get to work earning income online, I have created a more in depth resource that you can access for free that goes in deeper detail for you.

Here’s some more ideas for increasing your income online. There are many different online business models to choose from and here are just 14 ideas.

Great article to think about if you are considering starting an online business and want to make money from home. How would your life change if you could make some extra money?

Let’s say you started making just $500 a month more than you are already taking home? What could you do with a little extra money? Or, with a lot of extra money? Food for thought.

Before we get to today’s article, I wanted to share a link with you from David Risley’s Blog. This link could make all the difference between making an online income vs starving even though you might have a high traffic blog.

Check it out here — Reality Check – A Blog Is Not A Business

14 Ways to Earn Extra Money Online From Home by Cynthia Minnaar

Are you looking for ways to earn extra money online from home right now? Here are 14 random ideas to prompt the creative juices to flow and help you get started.

One: Sell stuff you want to get rid of on eBay or Craigslist. You’ll have to ship it if you sell on eBay, and Craigslist is like having a garage sale but doing so online.

Two: Buy other people’s stuff real cheap (or look for good FREE stuff) and then resell them on eBay or Craigslist. You can also buy discounted items at a store in bulk and get a good price for them at resell.

Three: Offer to sell other people’s garage sale items for them online and get a cut of the sale. You can easily do this on Craigslist and never have to deal with the products or the buyers.

Four: Write articles for other websites. Content for blogs and websites is always in big demand and many site owners don’t have the time or skill to do it.

Five: Start your own blog and develop a following. You can then make money from ads placed on your site.

Six: If you have a talent with photography you can sell photos online. Stock photos are always in demand for various websites especially if they are unique or clever.

Seven: Sell your own arts and crafts online. People with woodworking skills or quilting or sewing abilities have found a global marketplace through the internet.

Eight: Unique tee shirts are always in demand. Come up with your own designs and outsource them to companies who are available to help you promote it.

Nine: Sell other companies products as an affiliate marketer. There are thousands of opportunities online for this with many training programs available to help you get started.

Ten: Give reviews of other websites on your own site or blog. Website owners will pay up to fifty dollars for your positive opinion.

Eleven: Write your own eBook about your area of expertise. There are always people who will pay for specific information especially if it will help them solve a problem.

Twelve: Develop your own instructional video. Similar to the eBook idea a video can detail your area of expertise but does so visually. Many people will respond to this better than if they have to read about it.

Thirteen: Sell traditional products via email instead of “the old way.” For example Tupperware is sold mostly at parties. But you can send out emails detailing specials and catalog items and generate sales that way. Many companies have a program designed for this type of marketing now.

Fourteen: Network marketing is also done mostly online now. Find a good company with beneficial products. Sell the products and recruit other distributors all online.

You Can Improve Your Income Online, But Why Would You?

When someone tells you he has been making a decent living through online jobs, would you believe it? At first, the idea may appear a bit fallacious, especially since the Internet is now loaded with scams. But then think again.

Though the legitimacy of some online jobs is questionable, there are those that are offered by reputable companies and individuals, which can provide you with new ways to earn money.

The benefits of working online are also numerous. The first—and probably the major—benefit would be the opportunity to work at your own home, which inevitably gives birth to a lot more benefits.

1. More time with the family. Because online jobs can be done at home, you can set up your own home office and maximize your non-working hours by spending time with the family. You can, for instance, have lunch with your kids.

Or after working hours, you can perhaps go straight to the living room and chat with your spouse rather than spend valuable time commuting. Working online, in essence, gives you more opportunities to be involved in the daily lives and routine of your family. In the end, this may mean improved relationships.

Working online doesn’t mean, however, perennial availability; nevertheless, it can mean you are reachable. Of course, balancing time between family and work still depends on making a definite schedule and sticking to it.

2. Flexibility. Online jobs usually have flexible hours, with some even allowing you to work during non-standard working hours.

While some might require you to work at a definite schedule, most jobs leave it up to you as long as you deliver outputs on time. This flexibility in turn gives you more control of your time. You can work into your schedule appointments and vacations a lot easier.

3. Cut down on expenses. When you work online, and therefore at home, you can save on transportation, meal, and clothing costs. You don’t need to travel kilometers and gas up.

You don’t have to spend for lunch, coffee breaks, and sometimes dinner; and there’s no need for you to buy working clothes after every few weeks. And this translates to more savings.

4. Improved efficiency. Working online gives you that space and time to work alone and finish the task at hand. It is, of course, not ideal to isolate yourself from the rest of the world.

But admit it, in a regular office, you sometimes find chatting with someone in the next cubicle tempting, and giving in may rob you of the time you have otherwise spent on working.

5. More job choices.
There a lot of online jobs available today, from writing to data entry. This therefore means you have the freedom to choose which type of job you want to do and that which suits your skills, working style, and personality.

This type of freedom is normally not available in regular jobs. In the corporate world, you often stick to one job and are not given the opportunity to explore your other capabilities.

You will discover a lot more benefits of working online as you trail the path. But remember that assuming an online job also involves a risk, therefore, before you leave your corporate job or take on a part-time online job, carefully study your options. And try to find out more about the job before you sign up.

Business Building – How Do I Decide What Business To Start?

Deciding On What To Do In Your New Online Business

Making the decision to start a home based online business can be pretty easy. Deciding on what to do is the hard part. We have so many options, that the decision can become overwhelming. There are literally unlimited things that you could provide in your new business.

Not long ago, home business options were just about limited to direct sales or home daycare. Thanks to new technologies, home business possibilities are now limitless, and new options are popping up everyday. So, the decision to go ahead in a particular direction is extremely important.

When trying to decide on a home business, it is important to think about your personality and passions. You know yourself the best, and you know what you are interested in doing and what you are not interested in. You also have natural strengths and talents in some areas. The best possible situation is to find a home business that combines your natural talents with your interests, and complements your purpose as a person.

You don’t want to put a lot of hard work, time, and energy into a business that you are not going to be happy with in a few years. It is better to choose something that YOU really like and enjoy and want to keep doing for the long haul. It is not necessary but helps in the long term.

Another mistake to avoid is trying to juggle several businesses. Don’t spread yourself too thin. When you have too many balls in the air, something is going to fall. For example, you may think you can handle a direct sales business, a blog, and a service based business. But you also have to remember that you have a life and your family and friends will want to see you on occasion!

Instead of going crazy trying to be a jack of all trades, specialize in one type of business. Focus all your creative energies in one direction and you can diversify after you have that one taken care of. You’ll have much more success long term.

Starting a home business can be a very exciting time. Enjoy the process of figuring out the right type of business for you.  Hopefully, the business you choose will create an exciting and passionate lifestyle for a very, very long time.

Take some time to create a business plan. It does not have to include every move you make. Once you start you will change some plans, you will adjust and adapt to new possibilities, but it is critical to do the planning process initially to give you direction.

Improving your income online is simple, not necessarily easy. But, you can do it. Just set your goals, make your plans, organize your resources, and take the actions you have commited to. Adapt and adjust as you follow up on what is working and what is not. Soon you will see how making more money online, even an extra couple of hundred bucks a month, can absolutely change your lifestyle.

Breaking Out, In Internet Marketing

I just come across an outstanding article by Joanne
Mason over at TIMIC, and I just had to re-publish it here.

I belong to The TIMIC Membership Site and Joanne along
with other big name internet marketers including Willie Crawford,
brainstorm business strategies all the time. (TIMIC stands for
The Internet Marketing Inner Circle.)

I really enjoyed her article and thought it would be useful for
our visitors here. Here it is:

Don’t Break Into Internet Marketing – Break Out!

http://www.PLRProfitClub.com

One of the biggest mistakes that most new Internet marketers
make is trying to succeed in the Internet marketing niche.
This attempt is an uphill battle paved with far more stories of
failure than success.

The Internet marketing arena is the natural habitat of super
successful people who in many cases simply transferred years
of offline business savvy in sales and marketing onto the
Internet. They came to the Internet with the knowledge and
skills necessary to quickly rise to the top of the Internet
marketing niche.

If your background is in another area of business or
education then chances are you are probably not equally
prepared to compete with established marketers. That doesn’t
mean you’re less capable, it just means you may find it very
difficult to succeed in Internet marketing. That’s a harsh
reality that I had to face just like most other wannabe
marketers.

Yet, there is another way to succeed online without spending
all your time, money and effort trying to survive in the
Internet Marketing niche. Simply change your focus from
trying to break into Internet Marketing and instead think
about breaking out.

While the gurus are very hard to go up against, at the same
time you’ve been placed in a prime position. As a new, less
experienced Internet marketer you have the opportunity to
learn as much as possible from these masters of marketing
then putting it to use in other niches.

Rather than attempting to compete with the Internet
Marketing giants, you can learn their tricks of the trade
and apply your new found wisdom to other niches that could
really benefit from your knowledge.

There is a lot more opportunity to help people and earn a
higher income outside of Internet marketing than there will
ever be inside the niche. Armed with the same amount of
information and experience that labels you an intermediate
level marketer within the Internet Marketing niche, you
could be considered a superstar in other niches that are not
as intensely focused on Internet Marketing skills. Your
increased status will command an increased paycheck.

Here’s a list of 40 industries, businesses or careers
outside of Internet marketing that could utilize the
information that you may already know about Internet
Marketing. I’ve personally worked with business owners in
several of these niches and have seen first hand how much
more productive and rewarding it can be to help others
succeed in their fields just by applying basic internet
marketing skills.

1. Accounting and Taxes
2. Administrative and Support Services
3. Advertising/Marketing/Public Relations
4. Arts, Entertainment, and Media
5. Authors and Poets
6. Automotive/Motor Vehicle/Parts
7. Beauty & Hair Care
8. Business Opportunities
9. Career & Employment Specialists
10. Child Care Services
11. Computer Services and Software
12. Consulting Services
13. Customer Service and Call Center
14. Education and Training
15. Electrical and Plumbing
16. Finance/Economics
17. Financial Services
18. General Contracting
19. Gifts and Flowers
20. Health & Nutrition
21. Home Décor, Repairs and Improvements
22. Hospitality/Tourism
23. Human Resources/Recruiting
24. Information Technology
25. Insurance
26. Legal
27. Medical
28. Military
29. Mortuary Services

How To Make Money Writing Online

Since the Internet is largely based on text information, writing has become a primary choice for people to use when they want to make money online. Some people turn to writing because they’ve always dreamed of earning money from it, while others start writing just because they’re decent at it and it’s an in demand service online.

The Internet is huge though, and “writing” is a fairly broad topic. There are actually several different specific ways you can make money online with writing, so we’ll look at several examples here.

1. Offer your services to other businesses and organizations. Being a service provider is similar to having a job, because you’re doing work for other people. As a freelance online writer though, you have the ability to take on multiple clients and projects at once and this allows you to make as much money as you’d like.

One big drawback to providing writing services to others is that you are only one person. One person can only do so much work in a day, week, or month, so you have to limit the amount of work you take on to ensure you’re able to complete it all in a timely manner, and with the level of quality your clients expect.
